HOW TO SIGN UP
Filling in and sending the registration form is voluntary and non-binding.
Nevertheless, we highly recommend that you be thoroughly sure of your requests before sending us the enrollment form. Details and costs of our courses and other extra services are described on our website.

After the school receives your enrollment form, you will receive an email within 24-48 hours with the details and costs regarding your request and other necessary information to confirm it.

Enrolment will be confirmed after the school receives a deposit or the full payment of the course.
If you need our certificates to apply for a study visa, payment of the total course fee is mandatory.
Before submitting your enrolment form, please read our regulations, which will become binding from the moment you send us your payment to confirm the course.
If the school does not receive a reply from you within one month or at least 1-2 weeks before the start of the course, your application may be canceled for administrative reasons.

TIMETABLE AND DURATION OF LESSONS
The school always guarantees the course timetable specified in the description on the website.
Although very rare, in case of technical and organizational problems the school can change the class schedule. The student will be informed upon the school receiving the enrolment form and in any case at least one week before arrival at the school.
The duration of each hour of group or individual tuition is 55 minutes.

LEVELS AND TESTS
In case the student claims in his or her enrolment form that he or she has a lower or higher level of knowledge of Italian, but on arrival at the school appears to be of a lower or higher level, for organizational reasons the school will not be responsible for guaranteeing a class of an appropriate level.
In any case, except for beginners, the test will be sent to enrolled students by email approximately one month before the start of the course to verify the student’s real level.
If the student does not feel comfortable in his or her assigned class, he or she must inform the school administration if he or she prefers to change levels. The school head teacher will assess on the basis of organization and experience whether or not to accept the request on condition that it does not cause organizational problems for the school and brings benefits to the student.
For students who attend the course for long periods, the test will be repeated every four weeks to verify the student’s progress and his or her subsequent placement to a higher level.

PUBLIC HOLIDAYS
The school is closed on national public holidays during the week (about 5-6 during the year).
For group courses longer than two weeks, no discounts, refunds or recuperation are granted. Before sending us your enrolment form, please check the dates and prices page on the school website.
Individual lessons not held on holidays can be recuperated on another date according to the availability of the student and the teacher.

CERTIFICATE
At the end of the course the student receives a certificate of attendance where the course, hours and levels attended are described. In order to obtain the certificate of attendance, overall class attendance of at least 90% of the course in which one is enrolled is requested. In the case of attendance of less than 70%, the school reserves the right not to grant the certificate of attendance or otherwise describe it in the certificate.

ENROLMENT OF UNDER-AGE STUDENTS
Enrolment requests from students under the age of 18 must be received by the school via a parent.
A copy of a student’s and parent’s identity document, parental consent signed by a parent, and the presence of a parent on arrival at school is required.

PHOTOS AND VIDEO
Taking photos and videos inside the school during lessons and activities is permitted for school staff, authorized guests, and enrolled students. It is not allowed people from outside the school.
The school reserves the right to use photographic and video material for marketing or social media purposes.
This use is to be considered entirely free of charge and the school expressly guarantees that it will take place in contexts that do not violate the personal dignity of the person to whom it applies.
If the student does not authorize this use, he/she must inform the secretary on arrival at the school, otherwise his/her authorization is automatically confirmed.

POSTPONEMENT AND REQUEST FOR CHANGE OF COURSE
The student can decide to postpone the course by informing the school at least one week before his/her arrival. Beyond this deadline the student will lose the amount of the first week of the course.
After the course has started, it is no longer possible to change the booked group course to another type of course.
Group courses cannot be converted into individual lessons.
In case the school cannot guarantee the group course for organizational reasons, the group hours can be converted into individual lessons. The number of individual hours will be calculated based on the price difference of the courses according to our price list on our website.

ABSENCES AND INTERRUPTION OF THE COURSE
Daily group lessons missed due to personal reasons of the student cannot be recuperated on any grounds. Individual lessons can be recovered if the school receives at least 24 hours’ notice (48 hours in the case of public holidays). In case of notice less than 24 hours, the lesson cannot be recuperated.
A student who interrupts an ongoing course, has no claim to a refund.
The student may, however, request the possibility of making up the part of the course not attended by informing the school at least one week in advance. The course may be made up within one year from the date of interruption.
It is possible to recover periods of one or more weeks but not of one or several days.

COURSE CANCELLATION
In the case of cancellation of enrolment, in order to obtain a full refund of the deposit, the student must send a written request by e-mail at least 20 days before the start date of the course. From this amount the enrolment fee of €50 and the bank charges incurred for the payment received and the refund made will be deducted. If the cancellation arrives later than 20 days before the course, no refund will be granted.
The deposit will however be valid for another course that the student may attend within one year of the cancellation request.

CANCELLATION OF ENROLMENT WITH STUDY VISA
If the cancellation is for an enrolment that required a study visa, the student must send an email to the school at least 20 days before the start of the course in order to obtain a refund. The school must also receive the visa refusal letter given to the student by the consulate.
From this amount will be deducted €50 enrolment fee and €150 for the reimbursement of administrative costs and bank fees incurred by the school for the payment received and the reimbursement made.
This rule is applied from the moment the student receives the paper or pdf enrolment certificate from the school.
If the school receives the cancellation request after 20 days before the start of the course and if it does not receive the consulate’s letter of refusal, no refund will be made.
After the student has received the visa from the consulate, it is not possible to cancel the course and obtain a refund. There is, however, the possibility of postponing the course.
In case the student has not received the study visa in time due to delays from the consulate, he/she may decide to postpone the course. In this case, the course postponement rules described above will be applied.

EXTRAORDINARY INTERNATIONAL EVENTS
In the event of extraordinary international events (catastrophes, pandemics, terrorism, wars, etc.) that prevent a student from traveling to Italy, a refund of the total amount excluding €50 for administrative expenses will be made on request.
There is no refund after the course has started. The student may however decide to attend the course at another time in the future without making any further payments.

ACCOMMODATION BOOKING
Booking accommodation is a service that the school offers free of charge to students who request it. Accommodation prices include the booking service, management and utilities.
The accommodation fee must be paid directly to the owner of the apartment or to the family according to the terms and timeframe that will be communicated to the student after confirmation of enrolment.
For bookings longer than one month, accommodation can be paid every 4 weeks.
If the student has preferences, allergies to pets, food intolerances, special dietary requirements, he/she must inform the school at the time of the enrolment request otherwise the accommodation cannot be changed and the student will still have to pay the amount described in the booking confirmation.
On arrival to the accommodation a deposit of €50 in cash is payable for any damage or loss of keys. This amount will be returned on departure.
The accommodation is not owned and managed by the school. The school does its best to book the best accommodation available at the time of booking but is not responsible if the student is dissatisfied or if the accommodation does not meet his/her expectations.
In case of problems or needs, the student should communicate this as soon as possible to the owner/family and the school. Often problems or needs can be easily resolved.

POSTPONING ACCOMMODATION BOOKING
The student can postpone the accommodation booking by informing the school at least one week before arrival.
Beyond this deadline the student will lose the cost of the first week of accommodation. This amount will be deducted from the deposit paid by the student for course enrolment.

ACCOMMODATION CANCELLATION
In case of accommodation cancellation received after the 20th day prior of the arrival, the school reserves the right to withhold a fee from the amount paid by the student based on the owner’s or family’s request.
This usually corresponds to the cost of the first week. The cancellation fee will be deducted from the amount paid by the student for the course confirmation and accommodation booking.

CHANGE OR CONFIRMATION OF ACCOMMODATION
After the arrival at accommodation cannot be changed and payment will still be required unless there are serious and justifiable grounds to do so.
In the case of bookings of more than 4 weeks, the student may decide to change accommodation by informing the school at least two weeks in advance otherwise the accommodation is considered confirmed and the student will have to pay the amount of two weeks.
