Italian courses for school groups are reserved to the students between 14 and 19 years old coming from the same school. They can be organized in any period of the year for one or two weeks. The classic package includes course for the students, accommodation for students and teachers, activities and transfers.
For many years the Istituto Il David has been organizing Italian language and culture courses for school groups with high school students between 14 and 19 years old.
With the experience gained in over 20 years with school groups, the Istituto Il David guarantees excellent quality/price ratio, professionalism and flexibility, a pleasant and profitable stay, dynamic and fun lessons, kindness, families’ availability and safety, various and interesting activities, ongoing assistance to students, collaboration with teachers with daily review of the program, and control of the students’ progresses and behavior in the classroom and at home.
Florence is the ideal city for young students. It’s a city full of history, art, culture, monuments, local events, which ensures that students are always busy with visit to cultural sites and famous monuments, or having fun with friends. It’s also a medium-sized city, where student life takes place in the center between the school and the accommodations, ensuring safety and comfort.
Our 1-week package (7 days/6 nights) includes:
Italian language course of 4 hours per day (hours 9:00-13:00) for 5 days (20 total hours).
Accommodation for students: double or triple rooms with Italian families in the center of Florence (5-20 minutes walk from the school) with half board (breakfast and dinner).
Accommodation for teachers: single or double rooms in 2, 3 or 4 stars hotels near the school.
Afternoon activities: walking tours in the center, Italian movies at school, Italian cooking lessons, music, art, and many others to choose from.
Visits to museums, churches and historic buildings.
Excursions to parks, Medici villas, important cultural and landscape sites.
Trips to other Tuscan cities such as Siena, Pisa, Lucca, trips to the beach (5 Terre, Viareggio) or Chianti.
Transfer from the train station in Florence to the housing.
Certificate of Attendance
Arrivals and departures are on Saturday or Sunday. On request you can: organize arrivals and departures on weekdays, organize the duration of stay and course, change the number of class hours per day.
The educational program, developed over years of experience with groups, is flexible and can be customized based on the school of origin, the level of the students and the teacher’s requests.

My students have partecipated in the one-week program which the foud excellent for the conversation development.
The school organized a variety of topics and activities which the student enjoyed very much.
They have learned much and in a fun way that reinforced what the knew already, introduced new things and extended them to build confidence in new situation.
The school has been very flexible in acconmodating our needs, including extra activities if we wanted and providing excellent suggestion for places to visit and the best restaurants to try.
It has been a most rewarding experience!
As my students did not do the family experience, I cannot comment except to say that for students a bit older than mine, it would be a wonderful way to immerse in the culture and extend knowledge of the italian language.
The combination of daily classes and free time to explore Florence as a group has worked very well for us.

Anche quest’anno la settimana a Firenze è andata veramente bene! Per ciò che riguarda l’organizzazione di tutto il viaggio, devo proprio ammettere che la collaborazione con voi, in particolare la vostra grande professionalità e il Vs impeccabile lavoro, fanno sì che l’attività da me svolta, funzioni veramente bene.
I ragazzi erano entusiasti, si sono trovati tutti molto bene presso le famiglie, hanno assaporato le specialità italiane ed erano anche molto contenti delle lezioni a scuola. Le insegnanti piacciono molto e sono davvero in gamba. Una ragazza mi ha persino detto che non le sembrava neanche di essere a lezione, talmente piacevoli e divertenti erano le lezioni. Dato che gli allievi hanno 4 ore al giorno, mi sembra ottimo che si alternino sempre due insegnanti.
La Vs serietà e professionalità, unite a un’atmosfera di grande accoglienza, permettono ai ns allievi di sentirsi a proprio agio e di frequentare volentieri le Vs lezioni.
Per ciò che concerne le visite, giro d’orientamento a Firenze (Anna è bravissima), la visita alla fattoria è piaciuta molto, anche le visite museali sono andate veramente bene. Infine pure la visita aziendale è stata interessante.
Come anche l’anno scorso la sistemazione da Laura è stata perfetta. Praticamente è come stare a casa!
In conclusione devo proprio sottolineare che la collaborazione con Voi, è un vero piacere!

Per quanto riguarda la nostra settimana a Firenze siamo come sempre stracontenti: tutto ha funzionato benissimo e gli studenti sono ritornati pieni di bei ricordi e di impressioni stupende della scuola, di tutti voi, delle famiglie ospitanti e di una città bellissima.
Domani devono consegnare i loro lavori scritti e mi sa che qualcuno ci darà un lavoro scritto sul computer e così ve ne posso anche spedire uno o due esemplari per avere un po’ un feedback da parte degli studenti.

Da 11 anni collaboro con l’ Istituto il David!!! Sono un’ insegnante d’ italiano in Grecia e accompagnatrice di gruppi greci che vogliono migliorare la lingua in Italia.
Devo ammettere che sono super soddisfatta della professionalità e della cordialità dei proprietari e del personale! Gli insegnanti madrelingua sono professionisti specializzati nell’ insegnamento agli stranieri.
I miei studenti non solo hanno migliorato l’ italiano ma anche si sono immersi nella cultura italiana grazie al lavoro dell’Istituto il David!
I had an opportunity to return to my favourite language school in Florence, Istituto Il David, with the new group; 36 students in the age of 17-18 and 3 high school teachers.
We enjoyed of the beautiful weather of April and the school had organised us a very interesting tour in the city center. We got much information about history and culture.
We also got to know what is the best ice cream place in Florence. It is really the number one! After a good lunch in a self service place near by we had the lessons of Italian body language.
It was so fun and useful! The teacher was cheerful and capable to get all students working with gestures and new Italian words. I am sure these young people will return to study Italian in Istituto Il David – like my kids have.

Ich bin Englisch- und Italienischlehrer an einem Gymnasium in Österreich und war schon mehrmals in Florenz auf Sprachreise und meine Schüler haben an den Sprachkursen des „Istituto Il David“ teilgenommen.
Ich konnte im Vorfeld angeben, was die Schüler weiderholen und lernen sollten und so wurde eine gute Mischung aus Themengebieten und Grammatik- und Wortschatzübungen angeboten; das Programm war perfekt auf die Bedürfnisse meiner Schüler abgestimmt.
Vor allem der abwechslungsreiche, interessante, spannende und lustige Unterricht und die jungen motivierten Lehrer sind bei meinen Schülern sehr gut angekommen; es gab keine Stunde die für sie langweilig war.
Abgesehen von den Sprachkursen am Vormittag, hatten wir auch ein Nachmittagsprogramm wie zum Beispiel ein Quiz über die Geschichte und Kultur von Florenz, eine Stadtführung, einen Kochkurs bei dem die Schüler selbst Tiramisu gekocht und verkostet haben und einen Filmnachmittag.
Die Sprachschule hat außerdem für alle 19 Schüler eine Gastfamilie organisiert und so konnten sie den italienischen Lebensstil erfahren und genießen. Carlo und sein Team tun alles, um den Aufenthalt so angenehm und unkompliziert wie möglich zu gestalten und haben immer wieder gute Tipps für Freizeitaktivitäten.
Außerdem ist das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ausgezeichnet!!!
Ich komme sicher auch in Zukunft wieder und möchte mich hier nochmal beim „Istituto Il David“ bedanken! Grazie!
